2018 Our year in review

2018 was our twelfth year in business and our busiest yet. We had the pleasure of styling hundreds of beautiful weddings and impeccable events, each as special as the last. Thousands of customers walked through the doors of our South Yarra store and millions of stems of beautiful blooms passed through the hands of our busy florists. The Victoria Whitelaw School of Flowers continued to grow with bridal and event classes being added to the class schedule, and the first ever school open evening was held in Spring. A highlight of the year for the school was the creation of a pop-up flower school at the 2018 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show where queues of flower enthusiasts sampled what the Victoria Whitelaw School of Flowers has to offer. 2018 was an exciting year for events at Victoria Whitelaw, with the team styling some spectacular private parties and amazing corporate occasions including the recent Spring Racing Carnival which was quite possibly the highlight of the year for Victoria and her entire team. Our staff busily worked for months on end in preparation for the event which resulted in the botanical styling of no fewer than fifteen immaculately presented marquees and spaces at Flemington Racecourse, Caulfield Racecourse and private city venues. As part of Melbourne Fashion Week, Victoria was invited to create a series of botanical installations for Dreams Echoing the Memories of Time, a sensory exhibition showcasing the work of key Melbourne creatives. Keep an eye on our blog in early 2019 as we focus on our incredible work at Spring Racing Carnival, the Dreams exhibition and a very special private party. We wish all our loyal clients and followers a wonderful and happy new year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2019 which we predict will be even bigger and more exciting than the last.
