Sarah and Casey's Wedding in Melbourne

When wedding planners Catherine & Clare from Will & Jac approached us about working with them on Sarah & Casey’s wedding we were so excited! We had worked with these two organisational superstars on multiple occasions previously and judging by the brief this one was set to be a beauty!

Sarah & Casey wanted a formal wedding with a romantic and glamourous atmosphere, and they chose two beautiful Melbourne city venues for their nuptials. The ceremony was held on the stunning Taxodium Lawn at the Royal Botanic Gardens on a pristine summer’s day. Sarah walked down the aisle carrying a gorgeous semi-structured bouquet in hues of burgundy, plum and soft pink with touches of white and emerald green. Her main request being the inclusion of roses as Rose is her middle name, which were combined with phalaenopsis orchids, lisianthus and dahlias.

Sarah’s bouquet set the scene for the botanical styling throughout the entire event, with the aisle being flanked by two stunning contemporary arrangements inside gold rectangular stands, and the couple being married in front of a circular ceremony backdrop adorned with matching florals.

Following the touching ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the gardens before travelling by boat along the Yarra river to the couple’s reception venue. Sarah & Casey chose Metropolis due to its many windows and stunning views across the city. As guests approached the venue, they could see hints of the impeccable floral styling through the sheer curtains before the curtains were opened to reveal the space.

The spectacularly styled bridal table featured a series of crystal chandeliers suspended overhead, alternating with extravagant cascading floral installations. The guest tables were set with gold rectangular stands with luxe blooms and foliage styled internally, whilst the cake trolley consisted of a luscious cushion of blooms surrounding the four-tiered cake.

Sarah said of the botanical styling, “The bridal, ceremony and reception flowers were absolutely perfect! The colours and style were exactly what we wanted and complemented both the bridesmaids’ and groomsmen attire.”
