Jess & Hamish's Wedding

We were honoured when Jess’s mother approached us to take care of her daughter’s wedding flowers as the family are very special friends of the store, having been clients since the very beginning.

Jess and Hamish were to celebrate their marriage at the family’s rural property and Jess’s grandmother, an ex-florist, had taken on the special task of creating her granddaughter’s bridal flowers. Victoria and Jess’s grandmother worked closely to select the perfect blooms for Jess and her maids, which included a selection of autumnal toned roses, dusty pink cymbidium orchids, hellebores and hydrangea topped with sweet scented gardenia blooms. It was an exquisite assortment and Jess’s grandmother did a wonderful job in creating her granddaughter’s bridal flowers.

Victoria and the team were given the task of transforming the vast clear roof marquee into the wedding reception space of Jess and Hamish’s dreams. On the guest tables we created tall arrangements which acted as overhead floral canopies brimming with orchids, roses, rose hips and cascading varieties such as peppercorn, amaranthus and various foliages. Jess’s mother had created the base of these arrangements, which emulated tree trunks, from wood sourced on the family property. The colour palette of burgundy, copper, dusty pink and brown perfectly complemented the rural setting.

The bridal party were seated down both sides of an elongated table with a gorgeous garland running the length further enhanced by the girls’ bridal bouquets styled amongst the foliages. Overhead, the entire roof of the marquee was covered in twinkling fairy lights creating a magical feel to the space.

Congratulations Jess & Hamish and thank you once again for entrusting us with the very special task of creating your wedding flowers!
