Cat and Lachie’s wedding was the perfect blend of relaxed country charm and refined rustic elegance, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Warrawong Estate in Melbourne’s west.

The wedding flowers were designed by our team at Victoria Whitelaw Beautiful Flowers, creating a refined, garden-style floral story that felt perfectly at home in the surrounding countryside.

Spanning over 185 acres, this privately owned property offers panoramic views across rolling countryside, and it truly delivered on the day. Their ceremony was held outdoors, with endless open fields and sun-burnished landscapes creating a naturally stunning backdrop as they said their vows.

Wedding Flowers for a Melbourne Countryside Wedding

For the florals, the brief was clear: native, textural and softly muted. We styled the entire wedding using a curated mix of Australian natives and rustic varieties, including protea, banksia, berzelia, gum nuts, pink peppercorn berry, sedum, leucadendron, and layers of agonis and mixed eucalyptus foliage. The result was a beautifully organic palette that felt timeless and grounded, perfectly complementing the surrounding fields glowing in the summer sun.

The reception was held inside Warrawong’s 165-year-old woolshed, a space rich with history and character. The florals softened the raw textures of timber and stone, enhancing the warmth of the space without overpowering it. Muted tones tied seamlessly with the bridesmaids’ dusty pink dresses, while Lachie’s matching bow tie and the groomsmen’s ties brought everything together with understated cohesion.

Cat later shared the most heartfelt feedback, which truly says it all:

“I still can’t believe how beautiful the flowers were at our wedding! You went above and beyond. We had so many compliments. They were just so amazing and we took as many as we possibly could home. You absolutely exceeded my expectations. The way you displayed all the flowers accentuated the beauty of the venue. I’m still blown away!”

Cat and Lachie’s wedding was a joy to be part of, a celebration that felt deeply connected to its setting, effortlessly elegant, and full of heart. Warrawong Estate proved to be the perfect canvas for a day that was as beautiful as it was meaningful.
